Sharon is an accomplished researcher with more than 30 years in the market research industry. She develops the research approach, manages, executes and writes reports for primary qualitative market research. Her experience spans all types of qualitative research such as: exploratory, market assessment, concept testing, campaign development, customer journey, attribute testing, company/ brand image research, message testing, and positioning.
Prior to founding Laukhuff Consulting, Inc. in 2009, Sharon worked on the research supplier-side (Burke Market Research and MarketVision Research) for more than 20 years where she managed quantitative and qualitative projects both from a client management perspective, as well as internal operational management. She began moderating while at MarketVision Research. She spent nearly 10 years on the client-side (Eli Lilly & Company) in both marketing and market research roles, where she discovered a real passion for qualitative research. While at Lilly, she developed the
consumer market research department where she managed the researchers conducting consumer/caregiver market research for all consumer-driven brands, and developed standardized metrics and protocols for approaches when conducting varying types of research.
Sharon is a RIVA trained Master Moderator, and has conducted hundreds of in-depth interviews and focus groups. She has conducted research with consumers, healthcare professionals (PCPs, Physician Specialists, Nurses, NPs, PAs, and laboratorians), company executives, company employees, patients, and caregivers. In addition to traditional techniques, Sharon has also utilized web-cam enabled telephone IDIs and online collaging.She has experience in the following categories:
Laukhuff Consulting is a WBENC Certified Woman Business Enterprise. Sharon has been the Chairman of the OH/IN/KY Chapter of QRCA since 2012. She serves on the Communications and Membership Committees for the Indianapolis Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), is a member of the Marketing Research Association (MRA) and American Marketing Association (AMA), and serves on the Board of Directors for Vines for Life, a local charitable organization serving oncology patients. Sharon holds a B.A. degree from Eastern Kentucky University in marketing and management.
